Little Bear:Your child has never skied before.
Brown Bear : Your child, age 5 or older, has never skied before or has only had a few hours of practice.
White Bear :Your child has between a few days and a week of experience; they know how to put on their skis and get back up on their own, and they can zigzag in a snowplow position on green runs and stop.
1st Ski: Your child has between 1 and 3 weeks’ experience; they can make snowplough turns on easy green and blue runs, can get back up on their own, and can move around using the "staircase" or "duck walk" techniques.
2nd Ski :Your child has between 2 and 4 weeks’ skiing experience. They are comfortable on blue runs and are starting to ski in parallel.
3nd Ski: Your child has between 3 and 5 weeks’ experience. They can ski in a parallel stance on easy blue and red runs. They are comfortable using the skating technique and can anticipate changes in the terrain.
Ski Bronze: Your child has more than 7 weeks’ experience. They are comfortable skiing in parallel on red runs, making both wide and tight turns on blue runs. They can stop quickly in all situations. They know and follow the rules of the slopes to ensure they can ski safely.
Ski Diamond:Your child has more than 8 weeks’ experience. They are confident on all slopes, making both small and large turns, and on different types of snow. They know the rules for staying safe on the slopes.
Pro-Rider Bronze: Your child has more than 10 weeks’ experience. They are confident on all slopes, making both small and large turns. They are familiar with the various skiing disciplines and have had an introduction to some of them.
Pro-Rider Gold: Your child has more than 12 weeks’ experience. They are confident on all types of terrain and want to continue improving their technique on the slopes and in the snowpark, as well as learning more about off-piste skiing and practising it safely.
